WATERBURY MOUNTAIN HOME

We layered natural materials like jute, cotton, leather, and linen in earthy neutrals to ground the heart of this mountain home and warmly invite all who enter to melt into the low, lounge seating while maintaining open lines of sight throughout the space.

A sturdy, rustic barn wood coffee table with clean lines creates the impression that this has all been here much longer than it has, offering timeworn character and warmth that puts the eye at ease as you sink into the buttery soft leather sofa, or feel cradled in the hammock-like seat of the woven leather chairs.

Wall art, inspired by the natural splendor just outside the door inspires serenity, and its scale fits the space to offer the impression of grandness and simplicity. The cranes symbolize good fortune and longevity while inviting in a calming wash of teal blue.

Finally, the showstopper is our set of authentic, one-of-a-kind elk antler sheds—handpicked to replace a similar set my clients adored when they first saw the home, but which was taken by the seller.

Upstairs, we pair textured crisp white linens with a fluffy duvet and a deliciously soft ink blue waffle blanket plays against the rustic walnut bed frame. A long grey lumbar pillow is the cherry on top that cools down the color palette and makes you want to dive into bed with a good book.
